Jibade-Khalil Huffman

Jibade-Khalil Huffman is an artist and the author of three books of poems, 19 Names For Our Band (Fence), James Brown is Dead (Future Plan and Program) and Sleeper Hold (Fence). His recent and forthcoming exhibitions include the Hammer Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, and The Studio Museum in Harlem. He studied at Bard College, Brown University, and USC, and has received the Grolier Poetry Prize, fellowships from the Lighthouse Works, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, and the Millay Colony for the Arts. Huffman lives and works in New York.
