This solo-performance play is based on the Anatole Broyard’s Kafka Was the Rage: A Greenwich Village Memoir by Anatole Broyard (1920-1990), an important figure in the post-World War II New York literary scene. Saroyan’s play At the Beach House starring Orson Bean was produced in Los Angeles in 2005. He is the author of Complete Minimal Poems, winner of the William Carlos Williams Award and which a new edition has just been published.
