Ellie Ga
American artist Ellie Ga (Classification of a Spit Stain, UDP, 2009; Three Arctic Booklets, UDP, 2010) is in town and will do a one-time only performance of her wonderful piece The Fortunetellers, which deals with the time she spent as the artist-in-residence on a ship stuck in the ice in the north pole, and through which she deconstructs photography, memory, and metaphor.
She will perform the first chapter (which she created last year) and the newly created second chapter of this epic work.
Friday August 27. Starts at 20:20.
Performance is in English, mostly.
It is free, as much as free can be.
Arctic Cocktales will be available.
Audience capacity limited to 20 people, RSVP to gumshoegluzman@yahoo.com if you would like to attend.

The Survival Series is a series I created in my studio (the tiny Corpo Plumhill Playhouse) to show works which interest me, or to host presentations with a purpose. My goal is to see these works, and allow a few other interested people to see them too. I call this SURVIVAL. I am honored to welcome Ellie Ga to the 2nd in the series.
