Matvei Yankelevich: Poetry Reading and Collectives Presentation


Poet and translator Matvei Yenkelevich will be reading his own poems as well as his translations of Daniil Kharms.He will also be speaking about the collective press Ugly Ducking Presse and how the collective functions! Matvei Yankelevich is the author of the poetry collection Alpha Donut (United Artists Books) and the novella-in-fragments Boris by the Sea (Octopus Books), and several chapbooks. He is the translator of Today I Wrote Nothing: The Selected Writings of Daniil Kharms (Overlook/Ardis), and has contributed translations of Russian poets to several anthologies. He is one of the founding editors of Ugly Duckling Presse, where he curates the Eastern European Poets Series, and co-edits 6×6 magazine.
