This is a special event with Michigan writers who, in very different ways, have made substantial contributions to poetry publishing in the US. They will read from their own work and give short presentations about the history and future of their publishing projects.AARON McCOLLOUGH is the Editorial Director of Michigan Publishing (which includes the University of Michigan Press). With Karla Kelsey, he is co-publisher of SplitLevel Texts (splitleveltexts.com). His poetry books include *Underlight* (UDP); *No Grave Can Hold My Body Down* (Ahsahta); *Little Ease* (Ahsahta); *Double Venus* (Salt); and *Welkin* (Ahsahta).KEN MIKOLOWSKI is the author of three books of poetry, as well as the forthcoming *Remember Me* and *THAT THAT*. There is a CD of his poems with the Frank Carlberg Band released in late 2013. He teaches poetry writing at the Residential College of The University of Michigan For more than thirty years he was editor, publisher and printer of The Alternative Press.BARRETT WATTEN is a language-centered poet, critic, editor, and publisher. His collected early poems, *Frame: 1971–1990*, appeared from Sun & Moon in 1997. He is the author of several books of poetry and criticism, and collaborated on two multi-authored projects: *Leningrad: American Writers in the Soviet Union* (1991); and *The Grand Piano: An Experiment in Collective Autobiography* (2006–10). He was the editor of *This*, a central publication of the Language school of poetry (1971-82), and co-edited *Poetics Journal* with Lyn Hejinian, featuring writing on poetics by unaffiliated poets and academic critics.
