TRIPLE CANOPY and SIGLIO presentAMARANTH BORSUK and ERICA BAUM: THE IN-BETWEEN hosted by DAN VISEL On Friday, July 20 Triple Canopy and Siglio present an evening in which two artist/writers dissolve the boundaries between the visual and literary, the digital and the analogue, by probing the spaces of the in-between. Challenging notions of what forms a book can take and of how readers read, Amaranth Borsuk and Erica Baum each craft highly original works in which language and image interact in both playful and provocative ways. From Baum’s uncanny poems made by folding the pages of old paperbacks and by letting a piano player roll turn to Borsuk’s epistolary romance that can only be read in augmented reality, this multi-media evening will include performance/presentations as well as a lively discussion moderated by Triple Canopy editor Dan Visel. Doors open at 7 p.m. Performance + discussion begins at 7:30 p.m. TRIPLE CANOPY is located at 155 Freeman Street, Brooklyn, NY. (Greenpoint Ave—G Train). Phone: 347-529-5182. $5 suggested donation. Seating is limited.
