There is never-ending delight in the gymnastics of Copp’s poems, and her reader cannot help but marvel at what she can do with the language. And yet a gorgeous verbal performance is not all these poems have to offer; in “Pro Magenta,” she demonstrates the pressing and electric feeling of dark thought, the brightly colored lights of endless emotion, both good and bad, all of it felt in real time. One of Copp’s great strengths is her ability to create a sense of depth, of another story folding into the dominant one.

Terrific as the book design is--- and it deserves some award for best chapbook--- the poetry inside is even better, definitely hitting the gong on the "take the top of your head off" scale... I find myself reading these two poems again and again, flipping the book and starting over.

Both poems ... entertain a book-sized exercise in poetics of memory, creation, and femininity; "Pro Magenta" by pushing a creative spirit into the exhausting proliferation of experience, "Be Met" with a shattering reimagination of the dullness of self-presentation.
