The image in my ears. Do you speak effete bird-language?
In this professional environment. All our motives have been.
A gentle rain of documents. My hand’s a bland.

About the Author

Since the publication of soft hands, Stan Apps has published six more books and chapbooks of poetry, including Info Ration (Make Now) and God’s Livestock Policy (Les Figues). He remains grateful to UDP for giving him a start in poetry, with an elegantly designed first book. The poetry business being what it is, Stan is currently attending NYU Law School and happily residing in the Village. He is originally from here and there, having put down a few roots in Los Angeles, Toronto, Waco and Tampa. Stan also writes essays and a large collection of them, titled The World as Phone Bill, is just about to nose across the horizon.
